2019 Meets & THS


Here is a brief account of what we have planned for this year, please pop in and visit us, whether for a night or a week.

March (TBA)     Tarland Camping & Caravanning Club site, work party.  Booked meet.

29 March – 1 April     McLoed Park, Portknockie. Flat site on the edge of the village with spectacular views over the Moray Firth.  Social in the hall on Saturday evening.

30 March – 2pm    AGM at McLoed Park.  Please remember your membership card.

19 – 21 April    Dovecot Caravan Site .  A lovely caravan site on the A90, between Laurencekirk and Brechin on the River Esk .Within easy reach of surrounding towns Montrose , Brechin and Forfar to name but a few.There are some beautiful walks in the surrounding area.

30 April – 7 May     Region meet at Bridge of Allan

17 – 19 May      Knockdhu Distillery.  Once again we are visiting the distillery not just for a fun weekend but for one of the best whisky tastings in Scotland. This is a booked meet as numbers are limited.

June (TBA)     Grampian Transport Museum.  Take a step back in time and visit the museum in the picturesque village of Alford. Ideal for families.

28 June – 12 July    Brechin Castle Events Field, Temporary holiday site.  Level field, good for motorhomes with bus stop outside gate. On the edge of town, across the road from Brechin Castle Garden Centre, spoil yourself with breakfast at the coffee shop – served from 9 till 11.30 am.  Lovely walks round the country park, take a guided tour of the Castle, good children’s play area nearby. Event shelter for socials most evenings.

12 July – 4 August    Milton of Crathes, Temporary holiday site.  Grampian’s jewel in the crown with something for everyone – walking, cycling and public transport near.  Visit Balmoral Castle or various highland games, whisky trails abound, and it is an easy drive to the Granite City (Aberdeen) for museums, art gallery and the characterful Old Town. Marquee for socials.

13 – 15 September    Cullerlie Heritage Farm, Garlogie.  The farm is roughly 6 miles east of Banchory on the B9125 toward Westhills and Aberdeen It is owned by the family of the late King of Bothy Ballods, Tam Reid and his late wife Anne .

18 – 22 October     Foresterseat Caravan site.   Lovely campsite withe full hook-up, shower blocks etc. The caravan park is set in lovely countryside with superb views, there is a children’s play area with a separate ball games area. Booking is advised as we only have a set number of spaces.  Good restaurant on site.

November (TBA)     Tarland Camping & Caravanning Club site.
